Latifi becomes 32nd DAMS driver to reach F1 with Williams signing

Nicholas Latifi will become the 32nd DAMS driver to make the step up to Formula 1, signing with ROKiT Williams Racing for 2020.

Ahead of his final FIA Formula 2 Championship weekend in Abu Dhabi, the Canadian has scored six wins and 20 podiums in the series with DAMS and currently sits second in the drivers’ championship.

DAMS prides itself on not only its success in international single seaters but its drivers who have reached the pinnacle of motorsport or found success in other series as professional drivers. In 2020, six former DAMS racers will be on the F1 grid: Alexander Albon, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly, Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen and Nicholas.

We thank Nicholas for his time with the team and wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his career.
